Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Color Naked Bronze Review and Swatch

A super latepost from me.. This piece is almost sold out everywhere (if not already sold out). I know this post is to pass if your intention is to buy this beauty since it is almost gone in all Tom Ford counters. But let me share my review and swatch. So let's make it short.

Honestly this is my first eyeshadow from Tom Ford and I could not compare to another Tom Ford pieces. But since it is Limited Edition Summer 2015, it is indeed collectible.

My first impression about Tom Ford is always the price. I need to prepare my money months before buying anything from Tom Ford. Lol..

This is a clever idea to pair cream and powder in one product. We can use either the cream or powder alone or combine both to create more glamorous look.

I love the creamy texture of the cream. It glides smoothly on my lids, easy to blend, and have a very natural color. Some people may think this is too soft, but personally I think this color is perfect for natural eye make up or daily make up.

The powder creates a shimmery looks when put over the cream. I use my fingers to gently dab on my lids. The shimmer is not too much, but you still can see it when you blink your eyes.

I swatch it in different light. On hands and on eyes. Sorry for bad lighting and uneven eyelids. Hope you don't mind.

Overall this is a good stuff, but looking at the price, you should first peek into your pocket whether it is worth for you or not. If you don't put your whole heart into it, then don't. But if you loving it into the last dip, it is worth to buy.

Thanks for reading. Have a nice day..

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick Blush no.22 Review and Swatch

Woohooo!! Chanel is launching good things this summer 2015, but my only pick is this Les Beiges Blush Stick no 22 (my wallet just didn't let me get the others after some shopping madness lately.. Lol)..

You need to check out Les Beiges Multicolor if you missed 2014 edition, maybe the long-awaited Lumiere D'ete and RCS 507 Insoumise. I have both 2014 Multicolor, many bronzers and enough (really?) lipsticks so I decided not to get them this time.

Les Beiges Blush Stick is basically a cream blush but in a stick form. So far, Chanel launched 3 color selection, No 20 (bronze), no 21 (pink) and no 22 (peachy-coral).

Not like a compact cream blush, this comes in a sleek and retractable stick case with the signature CC monogram. It is not too heavy and quite travel friendly.

I hate to bring pressed powder including blusher while traveling because I'm a bit sceptical to bring something fragile on travel. I tendly pick things that are strong enough even when your luggage fall from 200 feet above the ground.. Lol. Just kidding..

But really, I will choose something like YSL Kiss and Blush over Chanel Joues Contraste or Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream over their Artist Eyeshadow or Benefit Watts Up over The Balm Mary Lou. Just simply avoid the worst nightmare ever, cracking powder!

When you get the picture, you will understand now that Chanel Les Beiges Stick is in the front line when I'm traveling.

But is this a good buy regarding the quality of the product? Oh yes it is!!

I think each Les Beiges deserve the attention. As I'm loving the Les Beiges Cream, Les Beiges Powder, and Les Beiges Multicolor, this baby too is my new found love.

This blush stick is meant for enhancing, brightening and contouring. It basically gives you natural glowing and blushing cheek.

The colour is definitely wearable by most people with fair to medium skintone. It looks so bold in the pan, but actually it is so soft when applied yet still pigmented.

In the swatch below, the hard swatch is only one swipe directly from the stick. Isn't the colour gorgeous? The coral color on the pan becomes a peachy coral which suitable for daily make up. Look how natural it looks after blended!

Many people said that it is similar with Chanel Cream Blush. But since I don't have any cream blush, I could not make comparison.

The texture is creamy but not oily. Once set it won't go runny. It is easy to blend and it really blends perfectly to your skin.

But it dries quite quickly, so you better finish application fast in one cheek before moving to another cheek. And for me the best way to apply is with fingertips. So swipe directly from the stick and blend with fingertips, I'm using my middlefinger.

The scent is just typical Les Beiges scent. Some people don't like, but I always love it, somehow it calms me down.

Now I'm curious about the pink (which will be perfect for fair skin) and bronze (which will be perfect for contouring). (OH NOOOOO). LOL.. I hope they will be permanent collection of Chanel. Fingercrossed! The only reason to stepback is the price $45

Thank you for reading..

Maybelline Baby Lips Color Cherry Kiss Review and Swatch

My first Maybelline Baby Lips!

I'm sorry but I am not having good relationship with drugstore products. Usually they ended unused or given so I was not intended buying it. I prefer to choose medium to high end products.

But I heard good things about this Baby Lips and saw many IG friends have wonderful collection on this Baby Lips and honestly they look so cute!!

And then when I went to Guardian (also read my other pick Ponds Concealer here), I saw a bunch of Baby Lips. They don't have many choices, maybe around 3 or 4 shades available. I didn't think much, I grab one that caught my eyes.

I didn't read the details of the product. When I saw that the price is only around $2 (sorry I throw away the bill, don't remember how much in Rupiah but it is around Rp 20rb, under Rp 30rb) , I put directly into the basket. I didn't even know it was Cherry Kiss. LOL

PACKAGING

Just a typical drugstore product. No box, only paper and plastic cover which you could not save after opening. (I always store the packaging box of my collection, I never throw the box away before the product finished, habit!! Lol)

The case is made of plastic in soft orangey-red and it is retractable. I love the font they use to write 'BA BY LIPS', it's cute!

PRODUCT

I don't know much about another Baby Lips or old version of it. In the one I bought, it's written "New. 12 hours moisturize and translucent". I ever read about 6 hours and 8 hours. I think they upgraded the formula lately because mine is manufactured in Oct 2014.

Unfortunatelly '12 hours' didn't work on me. It last only 3-4 hours with eating drinking. Maybe it's still there, but you couldn't feel any stickiness or wetness it gives when first applied.

It is quite lightweight, not too sticky and translucent. The color of the balm is a sheer orangey-red that is not appeared on your lips. It only give you a dash of healthy look. And because it is too sheer, people with a dark lip color won't get any color changing when wearing this. For me, translucent is not an issue.

It has cherry smell like its name. Not to overpowering when applied, but it's still there. Know the smell of cherry candy or cough syrup for kids in cherry flavor? It kind of reminds me of that (not a bad thing).

Some lipbalm going runny and going inside your mouth, push you to 'eat' them. Not with this balm, it stays on your lips and you won't taste anything unless you want to.

So let's decide : Should I get another piece? I'm in love with their packaging. Lol.. Thank you for reading! See you in another post..

Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearl Review and Swatch

"Another Meteorites??"
"Meteorites again??"
"Balls again??"
"Another balls?"
"Wasting money on the same products?"
"Didn't you just bought the same one few months ago?"
"Don't you have enough meteorites already?"

Have you ever been asked the same questions like I mentioned above??
Because I did!
Even my husband said, "Guerlain again?"
Lol.. Sorry babe, it just like you bought another version of Tekken, right?? Each version has different story and feature.. Only Meteorites lover would understand. Lol..

My first meteorites is Mythic, my second is Aquarella and I don't miss anything eversince. Perles d'Etoille, Angelic Blush, Meteorites Compact and finally the newest one,

...Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearl...
It is limited edition for Summer 2015

PACKAGING & ACCESSORIES

For Meteorites Lover, packaging is as usual so you can skip this part. But for you who still curious, here I try to explain..

Soft pink paper box with details of the product written. Nothing special.

The container made of tin and covered with a fish scales emboss all over the surface. The tin is in white (outside) and pretty pink (inside). It is similar with Aquarella's tin except for the color.

The lid is in gold and has colorful flower motive. As usual, the tin reflect your shadow so it's a bit tricky to get captured in photo.

No brush included. Like every meteorites, it also includes puff to seal the powder and prevent it from going outside the tin. I believe, it also helps prevent the meteorites from drying and being stiff.

PRODUCT

This is the quote from Guerlain.com:
"The mythical pearls are declined in a subtle blend of light and bright colors to envelope the skin a pure radiant halo of light"

The pearls are in bright pastel colors and has violet smell which I love. As I could see, the colors are white, champagne, green, pinky-red, brown, yellow.

A light revealing product will always have shimmer to create a glowy skin. This powder supposed to be used for all over the face as finishing powder. But if you wish for soft highlighting, you could add more in the place you like to highlight.

I made the comparison between Aquarella and Rainbow. Of course the pictures is about heavy swatch, if you apply on face it would not be the same like this since it would be sheer and enhance natural glow. I didn't take picture of product on my face, it won't be appeared on photo though.

This is the swatch in the back of my hand. Aquarella is whiter, Rainbow is pinker.
Rainbow's color payoff is softer than aquarella.
But actually when blended well or applied lightly, the color and the texture not too much different.

I did one more swatch in my underarm which have less wrinkle than the back of my hand. Here you can also see that Aquarella is more shimmery than Rainbow.

I was sceptical that the bright color in Rainbow will create unpleasant color to my skin. But worry not, Rainbow is gentle enough. Lol..

This Rainbow Pearl is lovely and of course collectible. When you need a less shimmery product than Aquarella but still make your skin looks glowing, you need to bring this baby home. Thank you for reading!

Gucci Eye Magnetic Color Shadow Duo #060 Fume, #070 Peacock, #080 Malachite Review and Swatch

Another Gucci Attack!!  Lol..

I want to review all my Gucci beauty collection on my stash, so please bear with me if I'm posting lot of Gucci lately.

I have reviewed another shadow duo in #040 Sunset here, so I will not write about their packaging and accessories anymore since they are all the same. I will focusing on the products and the swatches. If you want to know about the detail of packaging and accessories, please read in Sunset post (and, don't miss the swatch. It's worth to take a look, I promise!)

Not like Sunset, it's really hard to capture the real color of these three duos. My pictures didn't do justice of their beauty. I spent around 30mins taking pictures for each duo.

All of them are shimmery though not in the same intensity. Some are less shimmery than another. The particle is so soft that my phone could not capture the shimmer when camera is focus, that's why I include the blurry pictures just to show you the sparkle. Lol..

The shimmer shown in a certain angle and light. They are all wearable in daily life since the shimmer is not too sparkly. As you know some eyeshadows just not right to wear everyday because of that "disco time look" when worn. I promise these three are not like that. You could wear it comfortably even in the morning.

#060 FUME

It is the only neutral duo that I pick. Fume is a khaki-brown pairing and honestly I bought this because of the khaki color.

That khaki is a bit greenie, goldie and brownie. It has quite lot of shimmer in gold and silver (?) and it is really pretty in real. I didn't expect this to be that good. Quite buttery and easy to blend.

The brown is less shimmery than the khaki and if you look closer you can see a bit of burgundy and purple tone there. (See the sparkle!). Not as buttery as the khaki and not as easy to blend. Pigment is okay though. Guess will perform amazingly on primer.

#070 PEACOCK

It is a navy blue-bright purple duo. Experimental colors but doing okay even in the afternoon if you pair it with a nice neutral colors.

Honestly this is the least liked duo from 4 duos I own. It has least pigmentation (though it is still okay), but it is hard to blend without primer and texture is bit dry.

Navy blue has sheer color payoff when applied (looking at the color on the pan, I expected more pigmented color, and with that price?? $49). Got lot of blue and silver shimmer. It is okay but I have seen many better product than this.

Bright purple quality is better than the navy. The pigmentation and texture is definitely better than its pair. Less shimmery and easier to blend.

#080 MALACHITE

Malachite is my second favorite after Sunset. It is a green-deep navy duo and both are perform nicely. It is less shimmery than the previous two.

Green is so buttery that I only did one swipe in the swatch. It has very fine gold shimmer in it and it makes the perfect grassy green for me. I don't know why, but I love wearing green eyeshadow which some people avoid.

Deep navy quality is not as nice as its pair, but it is still a good one. I recognize that in all four duos, the left pan always has more shimmer than the right pan. Compared to the navy blue in Peacock, this deep navy is more greyish and less shimmery.

Now that I have finished reviewing all my Gucci Eyeshadow Duo, I will try to present you review and swatch of some mono eyeshadows and one more lipstick soon. Stay tuned!! Thank you for reading..
